Develop a Passion for Learning

I believe the Lord showed me that Homeschooling is the best environment to help the kids to develop a "Passion for Learning".

It is imperative that we make this our goal and sole purpose for homeschooling.

Without it, homeschooling will be a lot of hard work, fights, frustration, and ultimately leads to quitting.

It is okay if you didn't get to do everything you wanted done...

The benefit of Struggling

I used to think if I am struggling with something, it is not something I should do.
I hate it when some things in life don't come easy to me and that I have to struggle through it, especially when it is on a daily basis.

Take being a homeschool mom and try to teach my kids about being neat and clean and organized.  I was voted the cuttiest and the sloppist person in my middle school class, this does describe me to some extend, however, I do think it is something that God wants me to grow and war against the bad and refining the good.

I have come a long way since the days of total sloppyness.  I struggled with this through many many years.  I am definitely not where I want to be yet and it is a hard struggle.  I am also not very good about scheduling my day, I feel handicapped in these area.

I was showing Caroline about something I learned in my college years...I showed her that we don't need a notebook and a folder for every subject, one folder with loose leave paper and take care of taking notes in class and filing away any handouts from the class.  This makes it easy for even after you are done with the class and if you need to review, you don't have to try to locate both the notebook and the folder.  But I didn't realize this until I was almost done with graduate school.

Just when I was so down about this and ready to give up.  The Lord used my coversation with Caroline to show me that through my struggles my organization skills have improved so much...even though there were times it took 6 years just to realize one little thing, but it was better than nothing.

One thing I do need to pray and ask God for is to give me supernatural help in this weak area.
Lord, please give me supernatural help in the area of paying attention to details and give me supernatural wisdom to know how to organize and schedule my time.

I. Give kids time when implementing new rules/idea
